Moscow to London Tour Packages

///

Moscow is the capital city of Russia. The distance between Moscow and London is about 1,810 miles by road and 1,555 miles by air. There are essentially two best ways of travel you can choose from to travel from Moscow to London.

Moscow to London Flight

The most preferred one for travel from Moscow to London is by air flight. There are good services from all three Moscow airports which are Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, and Vnukovo respectively. The most frequent flights from Moscow to London are operated from Domodedovo Airport to Heathrow Airport and Sheremetyevo to Gatwick airport. You can choose the best route at your convenience whether you want to go to Gatwick, Stansted or the much busy Heathrow. The cheapest Moscow to London flights we came across was for as low as 300 Euros (Note: this is a one-stopover price) time taken by a one-stop flight ranges from 6 hours and 30 mins to 9 hours 30 mins, depending on the schedule of the flight and service provider. On a lucky day, you might as well get a Moscow-London flight airfare for as low as 210 Euros. Cheapest Moscow to London direct flight will cost you about € 330 Euros return. The best service provider for air flights from Moscow to London are Aeroflot, S7, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Bmi, Rossiya, Transaero, Air Berlin, and Air Baltic are the major ones.

Moscow to London Train

Moscow to London by train can be a very tiring journey. If you plan to visit other European countries as well, travelling by train to London might be a good option then. If you are in a rush and want to go nonstop to London from Moscow, you can buy the tickets from Deutsche Bahn. There will be a minimum of whopping 7 changes to be done to reach London from Moscow. Though it is not half-hearted travel, people who have the luxury of time and love taking long journeys will certainly enjoy the voyage to London by train.

Moscow to London Train Journey

The journey starts from Belorussky railway station in Moscow, where you will get Schnellzug express train to Warsaw Zachodnia station with an hour stopover you have to catch the Berlin-Warsaw Express which will take about 3 hours to reach Berlin Ostbahnhof station. At Ostbahnhof station there will be a 1 hour and 30 min break/transfer time, you can in the meantime, grab some food and relax and stretch a bit. Being travelling on such a long journey you must exercise a bit to have healthy blood circulation. You have to then take the Intercity – Express from Ostbahnhof to Aachen HBF Germany. After you reach Aachen Hbf you have to quickly do a transfer to reach Liège-Guillemins station in Belgium by Regional express train. Once you reach Liège-Guillemins station you will have a good time stopover of about 5 hours. You will then have to take the intercity train to reach Brussels Midi station. After you reach Brussels Midi you will have about 40 mins to catch the Eurostar train to reach London St. Pancras international train station. You have reached London and from London St. Pancras you can take local buses, taxis or underground trains to reach your final destination in London, This entire journey from Moscow to London takes about a whopping 43 hours at minimum. And the costs of a train journey are about the same as an air journey to London which is € 300 Euros or even more considering you will be having food etc during the journey.

The best advice we can give you if you were to plan your travel from Moscow to London, we suggest that you travel by air. That is the best way of travelling with less time of journey and stress.

London school of economics the only London university in top 10 for best student nightlife 2016

///

Students applying from all around the world to the United Kingdom universities this autumn: forget about teaching and research quality, or the graduate employment rate of the institution your heart so desires to go to because, next year, it’s all about which universities have the best student nightlife. Well, guess what we have got the answers to your questions and listed down the best universities for students’ nightlife.

Having surveyed thousands of undergrads, Which University has found it’s the universities in the north that are best if you’re looking to party the night away, with Northumbria and Newcastle jointly taking the top position.

And if you’re looking for the best political and creative scenes, it’s south you should go i.e. the University of London for budding political enthusiasts, Falmouth University, University of the Arts, London, and the Norwich University of the Arts all taking joint first for being the most creative of them all.

The new research has also revealed the nation’s top institutions for sports and students union activity – the University of Leeds was judged the best for having the most active students union, and Loughborough for being the most sporty – to help take the chore out of the task that is choosing the best place to study for a degree.

Universities with the best student nightlife were:

Northumbria University
Newcastle University
University of Liverpool
University of Leeds
University of Sussex
University of Manchester
London School of Economics
Liverpool John Moores University
Manchester Metropolitan
University of Bristol
Nottingham Trent University

Best students unions

University of Leeds

Best students nightlife in London
Best Students Nightlife in London

Students also voted the University of East Anglia, University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, University of Leeds, and the University of Sheffield as the best all-rounder universities, all of which scored highly across all categories. Which makes the choice for some rather difficult, as to which university to choose when applying to studies.

Alex Neill, Which? director of campaigns and policy said: There are many factors to consider when deciding where to go to university, so hearing how current students rate their university – on everything from nightlife to the political scene – can be really useful.

It’s always worth taking some time to consider all the options and do some research into what each university offers you before you make your decision.

UCAS applications for the 2017/18 university intake will open on 6 September and, for the majority of undergraduate courses, will close on 15 January 2017. Visit Ucas for a detailed list of key dates.

*On behalf of Which? University, YouthSight analysed survey data from over 11,000 students across 117 universities from the 2014/15 and 2015/16 academic years. See full results here. Results in bold are those ranked as the best

London house prices: Map shows average property price near capital’s train stations July 2016

/

The map, by property company eMoov, reveals huge disparities between areas, with prices plummeting just by moving from Zone 1 to Zone 2. We all know that Zone 1 in London is one hell of an expensive place to live. But how Expensive The Map shows the average property price for somewhere near one of the capital’s 14 main rail terminals/train stations is just over £1 million. But, by moving slightly further out to near Clapham Junction, that figure falls to £711,000. Further east, in Zones 2 and 3, Stratford’s average price is around half that – only £359,000. How much do you and I earn Well surely we can’t afford these expensive areas to live in?

Heading out slightly further down to somewhere like Bromley South in Zone 5, the price topples to a far more affordable £295,000. The station with the cheapest price shown on the map for London is Barking, where homes are an average of just £255,000. So, should we move to the Far East Should we all move to Barking Well that is what it looks like.

Interestingly, the map shows how this pattern is also spread across the entire country, albeit on a cheaper scale. Russell Quirk, founder of eMoov, said: The latest trend for homeowners in London has been to forsake the capital’s inflated property market for the commuter belt surrounding it. “But when you look elsewhere in the country there are other examples of homeowners opting to live outside larger cities to save on the price of their property. “This property rail map allows you to visualise these.”

There you go, property priced in Central London are inflated 3 fold that of any part of the city and Barking sounds like a place to buy a home. What say, readers?

Get your best suits out – LFW Spring/Summer 2017 is here!

The London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017

The London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 is just around the corner, and are we super excited or what? Did you know that London was the first city in the world to hold a Fashion Week? Come be a part of history at this year’s second edition of LFW, from September 16 to 20, and get an insider’s perspective on the styles that are set to dominate the global fashion scene in the spring/summer of 2017.

The international press, buyers, industry bigwigs, fashionistas, designers, models, bloggers and paparazzi will all be vying for attention this September at what is one of the ‘Big Four’ Fashion Weeks in the world. Like last time, all the major designers and fashion houses will be showcasing their collections at Brewer Street Car Park in Soho. Unlike the quaint and cobblestoned Somerset House, where the shows were held until 2015, the new venue is very modern, very concrete, and with an ultra-chic feel to it.

Brewer Street Car Park is also close to important retail spaces – think Bond Street, Oxford Street – where you can check out the best designer showrooms and stock up on designer wear. People travel to London all year round to shop – why not take extra advantage of your being there while the streets are overflowing with the latest fashion?

And if you are one of the lucky few who have tickets to the big shows, you are in for a treat. In addition to the high fashion and celebrated models you’ll get to witness on the ramp, you could also play spot-the-celeb in the front rows. Burberry and Topshop Unique tend to be all-time favourites for some serious celeb-spotting. Do you know why? Because they fly in the most stylish stars from across the world precisely to up their stellar quotient and ensure a swanky turnout!

headonism london fashion week-2016
Headonism London Fashion week 2016

Worried you might miss out on all the fun because you don’t have tickets to the biggie events Despair not because London Fashion Weekend will be held right after LFW, at the same venue, just for you! The four-day event is focused on retail and offers a line-up of trendy catwalk shows by top designers. Expect some excellent shopping opportunities over the weekend, including carefully curated designer wear collections from all the big names in international fashion. And what’s the best part of the London Fashion Weekend All the clothes are discounted. (Are those cries of joy I hear)

If you’ve had your fill of the runway at the main venue and shopped enough to fill all your bags, head over to central London for some of the “off-schedule” events, such as On|Off and Vauxhall Fashion Scout, organised by private-funded groups at other venues. Most important, don’t forget to take a break from fashion-hunting every now and then to check out the bars and cafes lining the streets of Soho and central London. There’s a restaurant in London for every tongue and pocket!

Following are the dates of the London Fashion Week 2016/2017:

  1. London Fashion Week September 2016
    16th – 20th September 2016
  2. London Fashion Week February 2017

My Day out at ZSL London Zoo

///

ZSL London Zoo had been on my wish list to go to for quite a long time. And finally this Friday I got the chance to book in and go and see some wildlife. I was excited when I came to know that I will be able to see Tigers, Lions, crocodiles and other deadly predators. I booked my tickets online from the London Tour Package website which offers great packages for families and individuals, I was able to save time and book the tickets for the two of us without much hassle. You can book your ZSL London Zoo tickets here: “Click Here

We reached ZSL London Zoo around 12 in the afternoon. I wanted to make sure that we don’t miss any of the sights and be there all day so that we see and cover all that ZSL London Zoo has to offer. Make sure you keep the ticket printouts ready, they won’t allow you to enter if you have booked your tickets in advance and have not brought the printed-out tickets. It was a sunny day we showed our ticket printouts and entered the Zoo, without queuing up.  Generally, ZSL London Zoo gets crowded and the queue gets long, as went on Friday early afternoon we didn’t face much discomfort.

Statue of Guy the Gorilla in ZSL London Zoo
Statue of Guy the Gorilla in ZSL London Zoo

After entering inside we came across a giant Gorilla made of copper. We came to know later that the statue was actually made in the name of “Guy the Gorilla” who moved to ZSL London Zoo in 1947. We moved on and saw the Aquarium and Reptile house on the right. We looked at the map, which we were provided at the entrance. At first instance we felt that we won’t be able to see all the animals today, so we decided to go with the big animals first, the more exotic ones. The ones, we have not seen in our lives, so the nearest one was the Gorilla Kingdom which went to see first. Seeing the gorilla for the first time, I was simply staggered by how massive they are and so humble. When we came close to their enclosure, we saw them lazing and hanging with the branches, not bothered about the celebrity status they have got. School kids look at them with sheer excitement. We watched the small monkeys too playing around.

Tiger Territory

And then in front of us awaited the Tiger Territory. We were super excited to see our first Sumatran Tiger. As far as I remember I never saw a tiger in my whole life, I once saw a Lion in the Delhi Zoo that is my old memory. We went straight in and my god what we were about to see was something I have never felt and seen with my eyes. We saw a tiger named JJ first and my god he was beautiful huge and unbelievably real walking in front of our eyes. We loved it so much that we spent around half an hour just to get a closer glimpse of JJ. We then came to know from the keepers that there are 3 more young cubs of about year-old each in the enclosure. We also got the chance to see tigers feed. And man it was a treat seeing these tigers.

We then moved on to the Outback where we saw Ostrich and Kangaroos. By the time we reached there, it got very windy so we spent a few minutes and took some pictures and moved on to see some more exotic animals. We then arrived at the Reptile House, where we saw varied types of small to big lizards, and venomous snakes. Viewing wildlife from my eyes in real was a great experience and was excited to look more good we saw two tortoises at our exit. We came to know they were very old about 80 years old already. Tortoises can live up to 150 years old. It was a great sight to see some animals living longer than humans. We then moved on to bugs life, cattle farms and so many other wildlife creatures there.

Meerkat in ZSL London zoo

There were few noticeable animals, which just took my breath away Meerkats were one of them. After seeing the butterflies, insects, owls, and pigs, we went to see Penguin beach. It was an amazing sight, we saw them playing on their own beach-kind of themed area with a nice glass-walled pool. We stayed there for a while and enjoyed and observed the penguins.  Ahead we saw so many other animals and birds whose names were completely new to us. This made us realise that they all are exotic and rare.

We came to know that there are almost 1000 species being exhibited in the zoo and more than 20,000 Animals living there. 982 species and 20185 animals to be exact. These are some biblical numbers and imagine we had so much to see in a day. Well while looking at the map provided to us we came to know they also have African themed park where they had Giraffes, Zebras. You have to cross the bridge either from near the entrance or next to the Terrace Restaurant. As we were close to Penguin beach we went through the bridge near to us next to Zoo Shop & Exit and The Terrace Restaurant.

We came across the Reindeer on the right-hand side and then don’t even know these cuties’ names, oh yes the Giant River Otters they were playing around in a small transparent water pool. Essentially the area was called the Happy Families.

Nightlife and RainForest Life

Then we came across the Nightlife and Rain forest Life. We first went into the nightlife, it was a pitch-black dark place. We came across all the wildlife, which lives way deep in the water and unknown world. It was pretty freaky out there.

We moved on to the Rain forest Life. It was a completely different setup enclosure for all the wildlife, which lives in rain forests of Pacific temperature, Amazon rain forests, and Congo rain forests to name a few. When we entered the enclosure was maintained like an actual rainforest. The water was drizzled all around the place with an automatic system, like every 5 minutes or so. This was pretty impressive. We saw numerous types of monkeys and lizards lazing in their enclosures. We saw Costa Rica Capuchin Monkeys, Golden Lion Tamarin, Sloth, Emperor Tamarin, Brown Howler Monkey and squirrel monkeys to name a few which we saw there.

African Wildlife

We then moved on to the Africa Area, surely we all know the biggest animals are found in Africa, and to our delight yes we saw 14 feet Giraffe, Zebras, Hippopotamus, and Okapis. We were simply amazed by the height of the Giraffes, we saw 3 of them and they all were looking very healthy and tall touching 6 meters or 20 feet, we spent some time there as it was about 4 pm and they were feeding giraffes with evening snacks. We then saw the Zebras and Okapis; they both were busy grazing here and there. Okapis is a unique animal though, having stripy legs like a zebra and a head like a giraffe.

After seeing the African wildlife we moved on to the exit and to do that we had to go to the Happy Family theme park through an underground tunnel and on the left.

The Terrace Restaurant and Zoo Shop

Before we went out we had a snack and tea at The Terrace Restaurant and then looked around the Zoo Shop, they had a pretty nice collection of stuffed toys and stationery themed around wildlife and ZSL London Zoo. All in all a fantastic trip to the ZSL London Zoo, and we were very pleased. If planning your visit to London, I believe it’s a great place to hang out with kids and family. So don’t think much when you have read my blog article all the till now, m sure you are excited and want to book your ZSL London Zoo tickets soon.
